What People Are Saying

“Mary has helped me out tremendously with a running injury. She was able to listen to my symptoms, asses the situation, and prescribe a treatment and recovery plan so that I could return to running further distances pain free. Mary is extremely bright and very knowledgeable in her field, and she shares that knowledge with her patients. She is able to provide step by step guidance to return to physical activity levels in a safe way. Mary is easy to work with, as well as energetic and passionate about what she does. She truly wants to get her patients to be healed. It was a pleasure working with Mary and I will definitely consult with her again if needed!”

"I am a life-long runner and 6-time marathoner. Running is part of my identity and a main source of happiness for me. When I entered my 40's, I started having pain in my knee, which started interfering more and more with my running. Eventually, the pain got so bad that I could barely walk. The dramatic shift from running nearly every day, to being basically sedentary, was heartbreaking. I started working with Mary 6 weeks ago and I'm already back to running comfortably with no pain! Mary knew exactly where the source of the problem was and she knew exactly how to fix it. With the strengthening exercises she's given me, my running form is already better than it's ever been - even when I was running marathons. 6 weeks ago, I was not able to walk around the block without debilitating pain. This morning, I am confident that I'll be running races again this summer!”

“Mary is amazing! I first saw her when I wanted to try to run/walk a half marathon for charity. I had never been a runner, wasn’t in sports as a kid, had bad knees, previous issues with plantar fasciitis, and was overweight. Not only did she help me get my body through that first half marathon, she helped me fall in love with a more active lifestyle and I have now completed 8 half marathons! She helped me through many physical issues as well as kept me mentally focused on my training plan. She helped me realize that my body can do so much more than I ever imagined.”

“I play traveling basketball and traveling softball. I was having knee pain and the Dr. diagnosed me with Osgood-Schlatters. Mary was able to get me through the rest of the basketball season without missing a game! Once the season was over, we worked hard and I was ready for softball and my next basketball season. Not only did she help me, but she worked with my sports schedule and was able to minimize my downtime!”

I am a competitive swimmer and sprained my ankle participating in gym class. The ankle pain was affecting my swim starts and turns because it hurt to push off. Mary helped me recover quickly. She taught me how to tape it correctly to support it until it healed, and how to strengthen it. Occasionally it feels weak again and I know to start doing my ankle exercises again.

“I decided to run a marathon. I had previous low back injuries but bought good shoes and initially, running didn’t seem to irritate my back. Then one day, early on in training, my low back started hurting. I was frustrated and was ready to quit training and give up on ever completing a marathon. However, someone convinced me to see Mary. In my first visit, she analyzed my gait and gave me a few changes to make with my gait. Those gait tweaks took the pressure off my back and I was able to run without pain. I couldn’t believe it! I saw Mary a few more times and she helped me ramp back up and get back onto my training schedule. With Mary’s help, I went from dropping out of training to finishing my marathon!”
